Evening Meeting Changes to 1st Wednesday
Our monthly evening meeting is moving to the first Wednesday of each month, beginning May 2.  Additionally, we will be rotating the location of the meeting among various restaurants throughout Westborough in an effort to expand our support of local businesses.  Our May meeting will be held at the new Red Heat Tavern.  These meetings will be informal and are a perfect opportunity to bring guests and prospective members to experience Rotary Fellowship and learn about our Club.  The cost to attend the evening meeting is $10, which includes light appetizers.  A cash bar will be available, and members and guests may stay for dinner on their own following our social hour.

Recent Club Meetings
Town Manager Jim Malloy joined us on May 4th to update our members on the "State of the Town"  in Westborough.  Mr. Malloy touched on many issues that affect town residents, including taxes, energy usage, town finance, and various projects and improvements. You can view his entire presentation on our Facebook page.  Caitlin O’Brien, our new Economic Development Coordinator spoke about her dual roles of acting as a liaison between businesses and town departments and reaching out to big and small businesses to find out how she can help.  Her focus currently is to create a more business-friendly town.  Specifically, her goal is to have more to do in the center of town so that it can become a destination, not just a throughway. Additionally, she seeks to open up the lines of communication between small businesses to enhance the collaborative environment.  Her door is always open and her office is located in the Town Hall Selectmen’s office. Caitlin's comments are also available to view on our Facebook page.
